The National Public Housing Museum is on its way to becoming a new cultural landmark for Little Italy and the broader Near West Side as extensive renovation work continues. The development firm Related Midwest, in partnership with the Chicago Housing Authority, has taken on this project located at 1322 W Taylor Street.
This week developer DL3 Realty, Mayor Lori Lightfoot, and other city officials celebrated the groundbreaking of Thrive Englewood Phase 1, a mixed-use development at 914 W 63rd Street in Englewood. Replacing a vacant grass lot by the intersection of 63rd & Halsted, the broader plan will contain two phased structures yielding 105 mixed-income residences and 2,400 square feet of retail.
Chicago’s City Council has approved the financial framework for the second phase of the 43 Green development, a 10-story mixed-use development adjacent to the 43rd CTA Green Line station in Bronzeville. Positioned at 4309 S Prairie Avenue, the undertaking is to be located just west of the station, directly across from the first phase that was positioned on the east side of the tracks.
Related Midwest has commenced pre-leasing for The Row Fulton Market, a 300-unit, 43-story mixed-use skyscraper at 164 N Peoria Street in West Loop’s Fulton Market district. The leasing center, located at 950 W Fulton Street, is open for appointments, offering potential residents a glimpse of the diverse floor plans, finishes, views, and amenities that await when the building opens its doors in June.
Ogden Commons, a $200 million masterplan that will bring new homes, shops, and health services to North Lawndale, is moving forward with its second phase. The Habitat Company, along with Sinai Health System, Alecko Capital, and the City of Chicago, announced that they have secured financing for OC Living’s first phase, a 92-unit building with predominantly affordable apartments. The project is located in the city’s largest opportunity zone, which means it will benefit from tax incentives and attract more investment to the West Side.
