Exterior Facade Nears Roofline for “The Row” in Fulton Market

Facade pieces can be seen nearing the top of “The Row”, a new 43-story mixed-use tower located at 900 W Randolph Street in Fulton Market. Developed by Related Midwest, the 495-foot edifice is West Loop’s second-ever skyscraper (above 150 meters in height), with the first being 727 W Madison Street, built in 2018. The project will bring 300 total residential units to the neighborhood, of which 60 will be affordable. There will be a 146-vehicle garage embedded within the podium.

West Loop’s 160 N Morgan Clenches 8th Place In Year-End Countdown

Quickly rising into the 8th place of this year’s countdown is the mixed-use tower at 160 N Morgan Street in the West Loop. Located just north of famed W Randolph Street in the growing neighborhood, the project recently had its first pieces of facade installed as it grows next to neighborhood stalwart Federales who just announced a Logan Square outpost. Developer Sterling Bay partnered with the Colorado-based equity firm Ascentris, both of which are also working on the 11th place of the countdown 225 N Elizabeth nearby, with bKL Architecture leading the design.

Permits Issued For Homan Square Supportive Mixed-Use Development

A new construction permit has been issued for the first phase of a mixed-use development at 3437 W Flournoy Street in Homan Square. Dubbed the Homan Square Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) project, the three-site proposal is being built in multiple phases with the lots centering around S Homan Avenue just south of the highway. Hoping to tackle various housing issues, the locally-led Foundation for Homan Square is envisioning the project with popular design firm JGMA working on the buildings.
