Initial Details Revealed For Roseland Medical District Masterplan

The Chicago Committee on Design has reviewed the initial details for a new mixed-use medical masterplan in Roseland. The overall plan area is bound by W 110th Street to the north, S Michigan Avenue to the east, W 112th Street to the south, and S Eggleston Avenue to the west and is near to the recently opened Pullman National Monument. The project was brought forward by the Roseland Medical District Commission who is working with a team of designers led by local firm Adrian Smith + Gordon Gill Architecture, all of which are helping to provide a zoning and phasing scheme for the upcoming developments.

Further Details Revealed For Hospital Expansion At 900 W Nelson Street In Lake View East

Further details have been revealed for a hospital addition at 900 W Nelson Street in Lake View East. The expansion will be for the Illinois Masonic Hospital which has been slowly re-designing and expanding its existing campus as demand rises and technology changes. The multi-phase plan is being developed by the hospital with SmithGroup working on the building’s design, which was recently submitted for approval from the Illinois Health Facilities and Services review board.

Initial Plans Revealed For Mixed-Use Development In Humboldt Park

Initial plans have been revealed for a new mixed-use building on the Humboldt Park Health campus in Humboldt Park. The structure which will become a new wellness and workforce development center is being developed by local organization ASI Home Care, who has not disclosed a formal address for the proposal. ASI is partnering with design firms Urban Works and APMonarch, both of which are Latinx owned and run companies on the neighborhood project.

University Of Chicago Announces Initial Plans For Cancer Center In Hyde Park

The University of Chicago has announced initial details for a new medical development at 5646 S Drexel Avenue on their Hyde Park campus. The new building would be located on the northwest corner with E 57th Street and will be replacing a surface parking lot in the heart of the university’s medical district. The project’s developer University of Chicago Medicine will be taking their first round of information to the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board seeking the necessary approval to begin design development for the property.
