Foundation Work Begins for 3914 N Lincoln Avenue in North Center

Excavation and initial foundation work is now underway for a mixed-use development at 3914 N Lincoln Avenue in the North Center neighborhood. Located on a 25,000 square-foot trapezoidal lot, the planned five-story building will span a total of 97,773 square feet and yield 68 residential units. Longford Construction is the developer while SPACE Architects + Planners is the architect. The 61-foot design is clad in limestone along the ground floor, red brick along the second to fourth floors, and dark metal paneling along the top floor. The top level is also set back from the street to allow for private outdoor terraces.

167 N Racine Avenue Proceeds With Rezoning In West Loop

The mixed-use development at 167 N Racine Avenue in the West Loop is officially moving forward as the developers have filed a zoning application. Located between W Randolph Street to the south and W Lake Street to the north, the proposal includes two existing buildings and was announced earlier this year. The project itself is being led by two brothers under the name 167 Racine LLC, with SPACE Architects + Planners serving as the designers.

Final Touches Spotted at 133 S Ashland Avenue in West Loop

Maeve on Ashland is nearing its facade completion at 133 S Ashland Avenue in West Loop. Developed by The Maeve Group, the residential building will house 89 apartments and provide 116 parking spots, with three of those spots being wheelchair accessible. Previously, the site had a two-story building and a parking area.

7006 N Glenwood Avenue Nears Completion in Rogers Park

The exterior construction of a five-story mixed-use building is wrapping up at 7006 N Glenwood Avenue in Rogers Park. This building stands at the crossroads of N Glenwood Avenue and W Lunt Avenue. The 96 CTA bus stop is located at this intersection, and the Morse CTA L station, serviced by the Red Line, is just a block away.

Tax Incentives Approved For Pacifica Of Chicago In Chinatown

New tax incentives have been approved for the mixed-use redevelopment of the Hoyt Building at 465 W Cermak Road in Chinatown. Located along the south branch of the Chicago River on the corner with S Canal Street, the developer fully acquired the building late last year after first buying into it in 2007. That developer is Aurora-based Windfall Group who is working with SPACE Architects + Planners on the new community hub.

Details Revealed For Expansion Of 167 N Racine Avenue In West Loop

Details have been revealed for the mixed-use redevelopment of 167 N Racine Avenue in the West Loop. Located mid-block between W Randolph Street to the south and W Lake Street to the north, the existing building will see an expansion for additional programming. The current building owners, the two brothers who own Celeste in River North, under the name 167 Racine LLC are developing the project designed by SPACE Architects + Planners.

Plans Revealed For Residential Development At 2120 W Webster Avenue In Bucktown

Plans have been revealed for the residential development at 2120 W Webster Avenue in Bucktown. Located on the northeast corner of the intersection with N Hamilton Street, the new structure will replace a surface parking lot on the campus of the St Hedwig Catholic Church. Developer DLA Piper is working with local firm SPACE Architects + Planners on its design.

3914 N Lincoln Avenue Receives First Construction Permit in North Center

The initial foundation permit has been issued for a mixed-use development at 3914 N Lincoln Avenue in North Center. Occupying a trapezoidal lot between N Damen Avenue to the west and N Lincoln Avenue to the east, the project is set to replace an empty lot along with various existing structures. The 24,554-square-foot property will host a five-story, 97,773-square-foot building with 68 residential units. Longford Construction leads the project, with SPACE Architects + Planners behind the 61-foot-tall design.

Construction Continues On St. Boniface Conversion In Noble Square

City Council Approves Mixed Use Development At 3262 N Clark Street In Lakeview East

The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use development at 3262 N Clark Street in Lakeview East. Located just south of the intersection with W School Street and the recently completed Panorama development, the building will replace an existing three-story structure on the site. Developer Gold Lion Ventures is working with local firm SPACE Architects + Planners who we have seen on a variety of projects recently.
