The residential development at 3914 North Lincoln Avenue has reached its ultimate height, as crews work on framing the set-back fifth and final floor of the North Center apartment project. Developer and general contractor Longford Design + Construction is delivering 68 rental units at this location, supported by ground-floor retail and 28 parking spaces. A significant amount of the brickwork has been completed; the next milestone should be installation of the first few windows on the exterior.

Foundation work is underway at 691 North Milwaukee Avenue in West Town

Ground has been broken, and foundation work is underway, for a new residential building at 691 North Milwaukee Avenue in West Town. Replacing an empty lot created by a 2017 fire at 695 North Milwaukee, the new development will deliver 34 units in a five-story with basement structure. Mo2 Properties is the company behind the development, with Panoptic Group performing general contractor duties, and SPACE Architects + Planners doing the design work.

Further Details Revealed For 4920 N Sheridan Road In Uptown

Further details have been revealed for the residential development at 4920 N Sheridan Road in Uptown. Located just south of the intersection with W Argyle Street, the project would rise across from Buttercup Park. The finalized details come as developers Kenny and Andy Lau submit a zoning application with the city.

Residential conversion of St. Boniface Church continues in Noble Square

The conversion of St. Boniface Church to a residential development continues at 1356 W Chestnut Street in Noble Square, West Town. ZSD Corp is the developer and general contractor responsible for resurrecting the church and transforming it into new homes as part of a two-phase redevelopment. The church is Phase 1. Phase 2, located immediately east of the church is also underway, under the moniker The Residences at St. Boniface.

Construction progress has risen to the second level for a new residential development at 3914 N Lincoln Avenue in North Center. The five-story, 68-unit apartment building from developer and general contractor Longford Construction received its foundation permit on August 18 of last year, followed by the full building permit on November 1, 2023.

Exterior work Nears completion on 5845 N Clark Street in Edgewater

Exterior brick work continues for a new residential development at 5845 N Clark Street in the Edgewater neighborhood. The four-story, 18-unit building is topped out with tan brick with red brick being used at the rear of the building. Though the sidewalk canopy hides it from view, the first level is done in gray bricks.

Tax Incentives Approved For Pacifica Of Chicago In Chinatown

Tax incentives have been fully approved for the upcoming redevelopment of the Hoyt Building at 465 W Cermak Road in Chinatown. Sitting on the western edge of Chinatown along the southern branch of the Chicago River, the project has been in the works for a few years with multiple developers. Currently leading the development is Aurora-based Windfall Group, who are working with SPACE Architects + Planners on the design.

Zoning Approved For 1870 N Milwaukee Avenue In Bucktown

Zoning has been approved for the mixed-use development at 1870 N Milwaukee Avenue in Bucktown. Located north of the intersection with N Oakley Avenue on the southern edge of the neighborhood, the approval was granted by the Zoning Board of Approvals last week. The project is being led by Peerless Development and designed by local firm SPACE Architects + Planners.

The project, situated on a 25,000-square-foot trapezoidal lot, will result in a five-story structure encompassing 97,773 square feet and include 68 residential units. Longford Construction is responsible for the development, with architectural design by SPACE Architects + Planners.

City Council Approves 167 N Racine Avenue In West Loop

The Chicago City Council has approved the rezoning for mixed-use redevelopment of 167 N Racine Avenue in the West Loop. Sitting mid-block between W Randolph Street and W Lake Street, the project will add two floors to the existing structures with added residential. The proposal is being led by Marduk Management with SPACE Architects + Planners working on the design.
