Facade Installation Begins at 900 W Randolph Street in Fulton Market District

Facade pieces can now be seen along 900 Randolph Street in West Loop’s Fulton Market District. The 43-story mixed-use tower is being developed by Related Midwest, who has planned an even taller development just one block southeast at 725 W Randolph Street. Given its height of 495 feet, the skyscraper will be the second tallest building west of the Kennedy Expressway.

900 Randolph Surpasses 300-foot Mark in Fulton Market

Structural work has surpassed the 300-foot mark for the 43-story mixed-use tower at 900 W Randolph Street in Fulton Market. Upon its completion in 2024, the skyscraper will be the second tallest in the broader West Loop district at a height of 495 feet, with 727 W Madison surpassing it by just a foot. Co-developers Related Midwest and Tucker Development planned for 300 for-rent apartment units atop a ground-floor retail component.

First Set Of Casino Community Meetings Conclude With Pushback

The City of Chicago has completed the first round of community presentations for the final three casino bids. Earlier this year in March news broke of the mayor selecting the three sites with the first community meetings beginning early in April, this ruled out the Bally’s and Rivers McCormick Place bids, leaving us with Bally’s Tribune, Hard Rock’s One Central, and Rivers The 78 as the remaining choices. Potential Groundbreaking Date Announced For 400 N Lake Shore Drive In Streeterville

A potential groundbreaking date has been revealed for the residential towers at 400 N Lake Shore Drive in Streeterville. Located on the long vacant site of the failed Chicago Spire development, the two new towers would partially utilize the foundation hole left by the Spire and provide a cap to the Ogden Slip. Developer Related Midwest who is also behind The 78 near the South Loop is working with globally famous skyscraper firm Skidmore Owings & Merrill on the design, the firm responsible for a number of Chicago’s major skyscrapers.
