Last week, YIMBY had the chance to tour ‘The Row Fulton Market,’ located at 164 N Peoria Street. Standing 495 feet in height, this 43-story structure is among the tallest west of the Kennedy Expressway. Built by Related Midwest, ‘The Row’ represents an investment close to $200 million. It holds 300 residential units, with a noteworthy 20 percent designated as affordable housing. Also integrated into the design is a 146-vehicle garage.
Construction of the National Public Housing Museum continues to take shape in Little Italy. Related Midwest is working with the Chicago Housing Authority on this project at 1322 W Taylor Street.
Construction at 1257 W Roosevelt Road in Little Italy has now reached its fourth floor, with Related Midwest and the Chicago Housing Authority overseeing the development. The six-story mixed-use structure is part of the broader Roosevelt Square Phase 3B project, which includes three other buildings. This project offers a combination of homes, shops, and the soon-to-open National Museum of Public Housing. Once finished, Roosevelt Square will have 2,441 housing units for both single and multi-family living.
Related Midwest has completed the upper-floor residences of The Row Fulton Market, a 43-story mixed-use building located at 164 N Peoria Street in Fulton Market District. The residences are on floors 36 to 43 and feature larger floor plans and enhanced finishes.
An initial public hearing was held for the potential financing of the first phase of the residential development at 400 N Lake Shore Drive in Streeterville. Held by the Illinois Housing Development Authority for the project under its formal address of 462 E North Water Street, the proposal looks to redevelop the long vacant site originally meant for the canceled Chicago Spire. Now developer Related Midwest appears to be resuming its work for their multi-phase plan designed by SOM.
