Preservation Chicago has nominated seven new sites for landmark status with the Commission on Chicago Landmarks. The seven locations are spread out across the city and represent multiple architectural styles, typologies, and scales that hold significance to the city and its historical legacy.
The Zoning Board of Appeals has approved a residential development at 3817 N Ashland Avenue in Lake View. Located along N Ashland Avenue, the site is bordered by alleyways to the south and east. A one-story restaurant building currently occupies the site, which is for sale by the owner. Mavrek Development is the developer behind the proposal.
The Chicago City Council has approved a mixed-use development located at 3244 N Lincoln Avenue in Lake View. Located on an irregularly shaped lot, the V-shaped property fronts N Lincoln Avenue and W Melrose Avenue. Tempus Properties is the developer behind the project.
