Brophy Excavation will handle demo work for 651 West Belmont Avenue at an $18,450 reported cost, according to the demo permit. The home sits just off the corner with North Orchard Street, adjacent to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.
A demolition permit awaits in the Chicago Data Portal to wreck and remove a greystone building at 3617 North Magnolia Avenue in Lake View dating back to 1910. Pending since December 9 of last year, the permit will allow Bachula Development to erect a two-unit condo building on the site, which was permitted for construction on February 25.

Sitting on the corner of West Diversey Parkway and along the northern edge of the neighborhood’s namesake park, the proposal has been in the works since late last year and is set to replace an existing medical office building and its parking lot.

Located mid-block between West Roscoe Street and West Buckingham Place, the development would replace the commercial building that previously housed DS Tequila. The project is being led by LGBT-destination brand Tryst.
Initial details have been revealed for the apartment conversion of the former senior housing building at 3121 North Sheridan Road in Lake View. The existing building spans an entire city block, bound by West Briar Place to the north and West Barry Avenue to the south, and was recently purchased by local developer Annenberg Investments.
