The three-story plus basement, two-unit structure replaces an 1885-built frame residence that was approved for demolition in September. The property was purchased in April for $920,000.
The City of Chicago has issued a permit for a new-construction masonry building at 1443 West Roscoe Street in Lake View. Ronan Construction applied for the permit on May 21 of this year, and it came through on October 10 with a reported cost of $920,000. It is one of two new developments they’re erecting on this block.
The Chicago City Council has approved a mixed-use development at 1215 West Belmont Avenue in Lakeview. Located near the intersection with North Racine Avenue, the project was originally announced this summer as a replacement for the now-vacant Stage 773 theater that occupies the site. The effort is being led by JAB Real Estate.
