Demolition is complete for Lake View Lutheran Church at 835 W Addison Street in Lake View. Now, attention turns to Lakeview Landing, as the crew from Powers & Sons Construction begins work on the residential development’s foundation.
Two residential units are being built in a new construction three-story building at 3252 N Racine Avenue in the Lake View neighborhood. Masonry work covers the exterior of the first floor as it reaches the underside of the second level.
The City of Chicago issued a demolition permit for 2841 N Southport Avenue in the Lake View neighborhood on Monday, June 17. Construction fencing already surrounds the four-story frame residential structure, as well as the garage at the rear of the property, which will also be removed. Tir Conaill Concrete is listed as the demo contractor.
A four-story, six unit residential development at 1218 W Belmont Avenue in Lake View appears to be nearing the finish line. The building, designed by AP Architects LLC, bears the address of 1218 for its west portion, and 1216 for its east portion. Belmont Development, LLC is the property owner, with Heritage Builders of Wilmette serving as the general contractor, according to the New Construction Permit issued by the City of Chicago back in July of 2022.
Construction progress has reached the third floor on a new eight-unit residential development at 3341 N Sheffield Avenue in Lake View. The first two levels have already been clad in brick for the four-story building’s exterior. A New Construction permit was issued by the City of Chicago on March 7, 2024, which included permission for four outdoor parking spaces and indoor bicycle storage. The building will also feature a rooftop deck.
