The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the updated plans for the mixed-use development at 1200 W Fulton Street within the Fulton Market District. Earlier this year YIMBY reported on the proposal’s new design and program, which was a large departure from the originally revealed multi-building complex. Now developers JDL Development and Fulton Street Companies are one step closer to building the residential heavy project.
Updated plans have been revealed for the large mixed-use development at 1200 W Fulton Street within the Fulton Market District. Bound by N Racine Avenue to the east and W Carroll Avenue to the north, the multi-phase project was originally revealed over two years ago. Led by JDL Development and Fulton Street Companies, the project is still being designed by local-firm HPA.
A two-story addition atop the Neely Building at 871 N Franklin Street on the Near North Side is underway. The steel frame is taking shape on the roof of this latest phase of the North Union project from JDL Development.
The Chicago City Council has approved the mixed-use development at 375 N Morgan Street in Fulton Market. Also going as 901 W Kinzie Street, the structure will eventually replace the freshly paved parking lot behind the new Guinness Open Gate Brewery. Developed by Latsko Interest and JDL Development, the building is being designed by local firm Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture.
Demolition permits have been issued for a two-story masonry commercial building located at 210 W Chestnut Street in Near North Side. While the permits were issued for 210 W Chestnut Street, the upcoming building address will be 232 W Chestnut Street. This permit is part of a wave of demolitions meant to make way for the upcoming North Union development led by JDL Development.
