932 W Randolph Street Redevelopment Takes Shape in West Loop

Construction is approaching completion for the condominium and retail conversion of the landmarked 34-story Tribune Tower, located at 435 N Michigan Avenue along Magnificent Mile. CIM Group and Golub & Company have planned the renovation of the tower, built in 1925 in the Gothic Revival style. The Chicago Tribune occupied the building up until it relocated to One Prudential Plaza in 2018. The new plans for the tower include 47,500 square feet of retail in the base, 162 condominiums, and 55,000 square feet of amenities.
Core work for Salesforce Tower Chicago, aka Wolf Point South, now stands at around 20 stories, with the main structural frame beginning to rise around it. Planned by Hines and located at 333 Wolf Point Plaza in the southwest corner of River North, the 60-story office tower serves as the tallest and final staple to the company’s three-act megadevelopment known as Wolf Point.
Exterior work has reached the top floor of AMLI 808, a 17-story mixed-use building located at 808 N Wells Street in Near North Side. Developed by AMLI, programming is set to include retail at ground level, as well as 318 apartments on the above floors. The new structure will stand 225 feet, replacing a former parking lot and sales center that was used for a previous iteration of the project.
Construction is progressing rapidly for Chicago Transit Authority‘s (CTA) Red-Purple Bypass project, located in Lake View.
