Renovations have wrapped up for Canal Station, a six-story building located at 801 S Canal Street in the South Loop. Situated near the intersection of W Polk Street and Canal Street, close to the Old Post Office, the building is characterized by its orange-painted makeover and other interior/exterior updates. The property is managed by 601W Companies, and its leasing is handled by The Telos Group, with the architectural redesign being overseen by Solomon Cordwell Buenz.

Plan Commission Reviews LeClaire Courts Redevelopment

A courtesy presentation was given to the Chicago Plan Commission for the second-phase of the LeClaire Courts redevelopment at 4458 S Cicero Avenue in Garfield Ridge. Located on the corner with W 45th Street, the proposal will replace the former home of the public housing project of the same name. The development is being led by The Habitat Company and Cabrera Capital Partners with local firm SCB working on its design.

CHA Advances LeClaire Homes Redevelopment In Garfield Ridge

The Chicago Housing Authority has advanced the first phase of the LeClaire Courts redevelopment at 4458 S Cicero Avenue in Garfield Ridge. Located on the intersection with W 45th Street, the new project replaces the massive vacant lot once home to a public housing project. Developed by The Habitat Company and Cabrera Capital Partners, the SCB-designed complex will sit next to the new Cultivate Collective community hub.

Belden Stratford Completes Penthouse Collection in Lincoln Park

Leasing has started for six new penthouses at The Belden-Stratford, a 16-story Beaux-Arts apartment building in Lincoln Park, following a recent full-building renovation. Located at 2300 N Lincoln Park West, the property overlooks the Lincoln Park Zoo and Conservatory. The building, constructed in 1923, is on the National Register of Historic Places and now offers 209 rental units. Monthly rents vary from $2,500 to $15,000, with penthouse prices starting at $7,250.

The sale of the land for the mixed-use development at 1234 W Randolph Street in Fulton Market has now been finalized. Located on the intersection with N Elizabeth Street and replacing a couple of commercial structures, the development can now proceed after originally being proposed as a hotel multiple years ago. Developers Azur Holdings and Golub & Company are behind the project with architecture firm SCB working on its design.

One Six Six Completes Construction in Fulton Market

The newly completed 21-story mixed-use building, One Six Six, is now open for lease in West Loop’s Fulton Market. Located at 166 N Aberdeen Street, this Greystar-led development has replaced the former Fabbri Sausage Factory, yielding 224 rental units and ground-floor retail space.
