Located in Bronzeville, the second phase of the 43 Green project has reached its maximum height of 106 feet, securing the 26th spot in our countdown series. This stage of 43Green, led by The Habitat Company and P3 Markets, will include 80 residential units atop 4,000 square feet of retail space on the ground level. Situated at 4309 S Prairie Avenue, this 10-story, mixed-use building is directly adjacent to the 43rd Street CTA station, with the now-completed first phase on the other side.

Land Sale Approved For Wellness Center In West Garfield Park

The Chicago Community Development Commission has approved the land-sale for The Sankofa Village Wellness Center at 4301-4329 W Madison Street in West Garfield Park. Located on the southwestern corner with S Kildare Avenue a few blocks west of Garfield Park itself, the proposal will replace a vacant lot and a handful of existing buildings as well. Developer The Community Builders Inc. proposed the greater Sankofa Wellness Village project last year designed by local-firm Moody Nolan.

First Floor Rises for 1002 S Racine Avenue in Little Italy

Located at 1002 South Racine Avenue in Chicago’s Little Italy neighborhood, construction is now above grade for a six-story mixed-use building. Developed by Related Midwest in partnership with the Chicago Housing Authority, the project is part of the Roosevelt Square Phase 3B masterplan. This sub-phase will yield three mixed-income apartment buildings, as well as a fourth building for The National Museum of Public Housing and an additional 15 residences with affordable options.

Chicago’s City Council has approved the financial framework for the second phase of the 43 Green development, a 10-story mixed-use development adjacent to the 43rd CTA Green Line station in Bronzeville. Positioned at 4309 S Prairie Avenue, the undertaking is to be located just west of the station, directly across from the first phase that was positioned on the east side of the tracks.
