Roosevelt Square Phase 3B, a 67-unit apartment building from the Chicago Housing Authority and Related Midwest, has topped out in the Little Italy neighborhood. Located at 1002 S Racine Avenue, the six-story building has its windows in place and is now awaiting the start of exterior cladding.
Partial funding has been announced for the affordable residential development at 5300 S Calumet Avenue in Washington Park. Located on the southwest corner of the intersection with E 53rd Street, the proposal will replace a long-time vacant lot. The efforts are being led by developers The Renaissance Collaborative (TRC) and Housing Opportunities & Maintenance for the Elderly (HOME).
Updated details have been revealed for the new Obama Presidential Center Programs & Athletics Center near 6001 S Stony Island Avenue within Jackson Park. Located on the southern edge of the center’s site, the expanded building will sit just north of the intersection with E Hayes Road. Efforts for the new facility are being led by the Obama Foundation and the center itself.
Installation of the outer walls is progressing on the exterior of 43Green Phase II, a mixed-use development project in Bronzeville. The project recently reached a milestone by topping out at a height of 106 feet. Located at 4309 S Prairie Avenue, adjacent to the 43rd Street CTA station, the project follows the completed initial phase located on the other side of the tracks.
Construction at 1002 S Racine Avenue in Little Italy has risen to the fifth floor on a new six-story mixed-use building. This development is part of the Roosevelt Square Phase 3B plan, a collaboration between Related Midwest and the Chicago Housing Authority. The plan includes three mixed-income apartment buildings and the upcoming National Museum of Public Housing.
