At number 20 in our year-end construction countdown is the 21-story mixed-use tower in Streeterville known as The Saint Grand. Formerly the site of a parking garage that was demolished this year, this project at 535 N St Clair Street is being developed by Mavrek Development. The 238-foot-tall structure will blend office space and 248 apartment units atop 7,855 square feet of commercial space.
Facade installation is approaching completion for One Six Six, a 21-story mixed-use tower at 166 N Aberdeen Street in Fulton Market District. At 224 feet in height, the Greystar-developed high rise will give way to 224 rental apartments atop ground-level retail. The site was formerly home to a complex of two-story masonry buildings that included Fabbri’s sausage factory.
Now that structural work has reached the 25th floor, glass and metal cladding are beginning to take shape on CMK Companies’ 1400 S Wabash Avenue, a 30-story mixed-use high rise in South Loop. The tower will be 350 feet tall and include ground-level retail space as well as 299 rental units.
