Phase Two tower crane permit issued as 220 North Ada reaches fourth floor

One month after receiving a permit from the City of Chicago to complete construction, 220 North Ada progress has reached the underside of the fourth level. And on July 8, a permit for Phase 2 was issued for the project’s tower crane. That means once the concrete core has grown a little higher, concrete contractor Adjustable Concrete and GC Clayco will tie the crane into the core and insert a few crane sections into the “tower” segment for sufficient height.

Full building permit issued for 220 North Ada

220 North Ada received a full building permit on June 12, allowing general contractor Clayco to take the new apartment tower to its full 29-story height. Working in tandem with concrete contractor Adjustable Concrete Construction, the core is rising on site now, while a parking ramp is taking shape. As of Friday, crews have reached the underside of the second floor across most of the half-block-long site.

Windows Nearly Complete at 4715 North Western Avenue in Lincoln Square

Window installation is nearing completion at 4715 North Western Avenue, a six-story residential development in Lincoln Square. The project, which replaces a surface parking across Leland Avenue from the CTA Western Brown Line elevated platform, will feature 63 affordable rental units and 5,500 square feet of ground-floor retail space. It is being developed by The Community Builders.
