CDC Approves $6 Million TIF For Park Boulevard Phase 3B at 3603 S Federal Street in Bronzeville

The Community Development Commission has approved $6 million in Tax Increment Financing (TIF) money for the development of Park Boulevard Phase 3B located at 3603 S Federal Street in Bronzeville. Part of the larger Park Boulevard community, the project is the next step in redeveloping the site of the former Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) Stateway Gardens housing projects. The overall property is bound by W 35th Street to the north, S State Street to the east, W 39th Street to the south, and the Metra tracks to the west. This portion of the plan is oriented along S Federal Street anchoring the stretch between W 35th Street and W 37th Street at each end. Stateway Associates LLC is the developer behind the project.

The Community Development Commission has approved a ground lease for the Boys and Girls Club of Chicago at 4433 W Chicago Avenue in Humboldt Park. Located along W Chicago Avenue, the property is midblock between N Kostner Avenue and N Kilbourn Avenue. Measuring 30,000 square feet, the site is within the 30-acre Joint Public Safety Training Academy. The Boys and Girls Club of Chicago are behind the proposal.

The Community Development Commission has approved $5 million in TIF money for 43Green, a mixed-use development located at 4308 S Calumet Avenue in Bronzeville. Located at the intersection of E 43rd Street and S Calumet Avenue, the project site is a vacant lot adjacent to the CTA Green Line tracks. The development is a result of the collaboration between The Habitat Company and P3 Markets.
