Details have been revealed for the residential conversion of the office building at 739 S Clark Street in Printer’s Row. Located just north of the intersection with W Polk Street, the conversion is for the office portion of the Imprint mixed-use development. The project is being led by CMK Companies who is working on 1630 S Wabash Avenue nearby.
Construction appears to have halted at 1630 S Wabash Avenue in the South Loop. Located just south of the intersection with E 16th Street, we covered the project in January as crews began foundation and piling work. The proposal is being led by CMK Companies with local architecture firm Pappageorge Haymes working on its design and Clark Construction on its execution.
Foundation work has begun for a new 12-story mixed-use building at 1730 S Wabash Avenue in South Loop. Replacing a former parking lot, the new project will yield 110 apartment units and an 80-car garage on the first and second floors. There will also be ground-floor commercial retail.

A permit for the foundation and partial superstructure was issued in late October, followed by the issuance of the full permit in early December.
Foundation work is currently in progress at 1723 S Michigan Avenue in the South Loop neighborhood, ranking as the 24th project in our year-end countdown of tallest construction developments. Under development by CMK Companies, the 13-story residential building will provide 149 apartment units and a parking garage with capacity for 98 vehicles.
