160 N Elizabeth Street Scores Full Construction Permit in West Loop

With its structural work now above ground level, the planned 27-story development at 160 N Elizabeth Street has received its full construction permit in West Loop. Prior to construction, this parcel along the Randolph Street corridor was previously occupied by a collection of low-rise masonry buildings. This 293-foot-tall replacement will have a dramatic presence as one of the largest new developments contributing to West Loop’s rapid urbanization.

160 N Elizabeth Street Claims 14th Place In Year-End Countdown

Claiming the 14th place in the year-end countdown is the mixed-use development at 160 N Elizabeth Street in the West Loop. Located on the corner with W Randolph Street, it replaces two one-story masonry buildings with a Thomas Roszak Architecture designed high-rise developed by Moceri + Roszak. With the site now cleared, Clark Construction is now wrapping up caisson work as the structure recently received foundation permits.

320 S Canal Gleams as Tower’s Glass Installation Wraps Up

With nearly all of its glazing installed, the 50-story skyscraper at 320 S Canal Street, aka BMO Tower, can now be seen in its final form along the Chicago skyline. Co-developed by Riverside Investment & Development alongside Convexity Properties, the 727-foot-tall behemoth is one of the city’s tallest new structures, let alone office buildings. The structure is situated in West Loop Gate directly south of the iconic Union Station, and is replacing a former parking and retail structure.
