Sterling Bay, the developers behind Lincoln Yards, recently shared an update with community members about the status of development at the site. The new Dominick Bridge plus the Life Sciences Building are planned to break ground this year. Planned for the southern half of the site, dubbed Lincoln Yards South, the two projects will be the first new construction for the overall mega-development.
Exterior work is approaching completion for a four-story mixed-use building at 1827 N Milwaukee Avenue in Bucktown. Developed by owner Mike Cane, the project will contain retail space on the ground floor with three residential units above. Permits also listed a rooftop deck, as well as an elevator.
Demolition permits have been issued for a 1.5-story residential building located in Bucktown. While it is unclear what specifically the owner, Joseph Del Preto, has planned for the lot, the site’s zoning designation of RS-3 would allow for up two two-flats and single-family homes.
Permits have been issued for a three-story residential building at 2416 W Lyndale Street in Bucktown. The interior lot is located along W Lyndale Street between N Western Avenue and N Campbell Avenue. The nearest public transportation is the 49 CTA bus accessed at the Western and Belden stop, a two-minute walk away. The Western CTA L station serviced by the Blue Line is the nearest stop, a ten-minute walk away. EZMB LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications, reporting the development cost as $1,072,900.
Permits have been issued for 2140 N Claremont Avenue in Bucktown, slated to be a three-story residential building.
