311 W Huron Street Receives Full Building Permit in River North

A full construction permit has been issued for 311 W Huron Street, paving the way for a new 15-story mixed-use building in River North. Under development by North Wells Capital, the primarily office high rise will serve as the second phase in the developer’s “Verso” assemblage. Earlier this spring, the market research company Spins signed an anchor tenant lease for 48,000 square feet within the top three office floors.

311 W Huron Preps for Imminent Groundbreaking in River North

Construction is set to begin in early June for a 16-story commercial building at 311 W Huron Street in River North. This retail and office building has been planned by North Wells Capital. This past February, the developer secured an $88 million lease with the anchor tenant Spins, who will occupy 48,000 square feet within the top three floors. The 226-foot-tall edifice will replace a former parking lot just west of the elevated CTA L tracks.

Crane Removed from Salesforce Tower Chicago at 333 Wolf Point Plaza in River North

Now standing its final height of 850 feet, the 60-story Salesforce Tower in River North has now removed its tower crane. Well on track to reach completion by next year, this glassy skyscraper at 333 Wolf Point Plaza will be the city’s 17th tallest skyscraper. It will also mark the final installment in a three-part megadevelopment by Hines known as Wolf Point. Located at the confluence of the Chicago River, this scheme also includes a 500-foot apartment tower known as Wolf Point West, as well as a 679-foot apartment tower dubbed Wolf Point East.

LG Development’s “HUGO” Gets Ready to Rise in River North

Foundation work is progressing on HUGO, LG Development‘s two-building development located at 751 N Hudson Avenue and 411 W Chicago Avenue in River North. The two nine-story buildings will be nearly adjacent to one another, separated by an existing low-rise masonry building. Combined, the mixed-use edifices will span 230,000 square feet, occupied by 19,000 square feet of mercantile space and 227 apartments.
