A 180,900-square-foot warehouse has been proposed for 328 W 40th Place in Fuller Park, just several blocks south of Guaranteed Rate Field. The project site is being developed by The Missner Group and will replace a currently vacant lot. Designed by Ware Malcomb, the facade will have a colorful facade for an industrial building, with patterns of blue precast concrete wrapping around the rectangular structure. While a tenant has not yet been announced, the interior will be able to accommodate light manufacturing, food packaging, or distribution. As for on-site transportation infrastructure, there will be 35 loading docks and parking for 176 vehicles.
A caisson permit has been issued for the parking garage portion of a major new warehouse and distribution center in West Town, just west of the river at 1104 N Elston Avenue. This 405-vehicle garage segment will be located at the southern end of the 11-acre property and will connect directly to the new Class A warehouse building via a skybridge. The project as a whole is being developed by Logistics Property Company and designed by Ware Malcomb.
Directly west of the Chicago River across from Goose Island, a tower crane permit has now been issued for a large-scale distribution center and warehouse. Owned and developed by Logistics Property Company (LPC), the 11-acre site was once home to a Peoples Gas production facility and required extensive rehabilitation following its previous use.
The Chicago Development Commission has approved plans for the industrial complex at 4300 W Roosevelt Road in North Lawndale. Bound by S Kildare Avenue, S Kostner Avenue, and W 5th Avenue, the project will replace a large swath of land intersected by rail lines down the middle. Part of the Invest South/West initiative, the proposal comes to us from 548 Developments and Related Midwest with various design firms including Lamar Johnson Collaborative, Ware Malcomb, and SITE Design Group.
