Outer Walls Take Shape for HUGO Development in River North

The exterior walls have been placed for HUGO, a two-building mixed-use project by LG Development in River North. Located at 751 N Hudson Avenue and 411 W Chicago Avenue, the pair of nine-story structures will encompass a total of 230,000 square feet of floor space. This project will bring a total of 227 new apartments to the neighborhood, as well as 19,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. The two buildings will be situated close to one another, separated by an existing two-story, masonry low rise.

210 N Aberdeen Climbs Into 26th Place In Countdown

Rising into the 26th place on our year-end countdown is the mixed-use development at 210 N Aberdeen Street in the West Loop. Located not too far from yesterday’s entry of Embry, the multi-mass project is near the intersection with W Fulton Street. The team at LG Development Group worked with local architecture firm NORR on its design with Power Construction executing on the plans.

Construction has topped out for HUGO, a two-building mixed-use project by LG Development in River North. Located at 751 N Hudson Avenue and 411 W Chicago Avenue, the pair of nine-story structures will have a combined 230,000 square feet of floor space. HUGO will bring a total of 227 new apartments to the neighborhood as well as 19,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space. As construction continues to makes rapid gains, full permits have now been issued for a 19-story mixed-use building at 210 N Aberdeen Street in Fulton Market. LG Development Group has planned to construct a 214-foot-tall structure that will sit on an L-shaped site. The building will include 10,700 square feet of retail space and 363 apartment units. The scope and design have changed slightly prior to construction, having reduced the total units from 414 residences and the height from 239 feet.

Construction is now above grade for a 19-story mixed-use building at 210 N Aberdeen Street in Fulton Market. The planned 214-foot-tall structure by LG Development Group will include 363 apartment units and 10,700 square feet of retail space. The building will sit on an L-shaped site. The building’s scope and appearance have evolved somewhat before construction, lowering the overall units from 414 and the height from 239 feet.

Caisson Permit Issued for 210 N Aberdeen Street in Fulton Market

A caisson permit has been issued for a new 19-story mixed-use building at 210 N Aberdeen Street in Fulton Market. The 239-foot-tall structure has been planned by LG Development Group, and will sit on an L-shaped site. Having required a zoning change from C1-1, Neighborhood Commercial District, to DX-7, Downtown Mixed-Use District, the scheme calls for 10,700 square feet of retail, above which will be 414 apartment units.

Demolition Begins for 1150 W Lake Street in Fulton Market

Demolition has begun for 1150 W Lake Street in Fulton Market District, where LG Development Group has planned for a major mixed-use development. Straddling the elevated CTA’s elevated tracks, the two-tower scheme includes an 18-story building at the northern end replacing, as well as a 29-story building the southern end. The shorter edifice will be replacing a formerly vacant lot, while the taller tower will replace multiple single-story masonry buildings that are now being removed.

Demolition permits have been approved for an L-shaped parcel at 210 N Aberdeen Street in Fulton Market, giving way to a new 19-story mixed-use building. LG Development Group has planned for 414 apartment units atop 10,500 square feet of retail. Currently, the site is occupied by a series of low-rise brick buildings. One of these structures, the historic Arthur Harris Building, will only be partially demolished then integrated into the new design.

Foundation work is progressing on HUGO, LG Development‘s two-building development located at 751 N Hudson Avenue and 411 W Chicago Avenue in River North. The two nine-story buildings will be nearly adjacent to one another, separated by an existing low-rise masonry building. Combined, the mixed-use edifices will span 230,000 square feet, occupied by 19,000 square feet of mercantile space and 227 apartments.
