Initial details have been revealed for a new cultural and community hub at 2905 West Madison Street in East Garfield Park. Located at the intersection with North Francisco Avenue, the center will replace a city-owned vacant lot as part of the city’s initiative to reinvest in the West Side. The effort is being led by The Brim Foundation and P3 Markets.
Plans have been approved for a new community-focused recreation center at 3901 West Cermak Road, on the border between Little Village and Lawndale. The proposal, dubbed the One Lawndale Recreation Center, will replace a former CTA storage yard just east of the intersection with South Pulaski Road.

Located just a few steps away from famed eatery Calumet Fisheries, the project will redevelop the former Full Circle Congregation church building into a new home for local nonprofit Black Girls Dance.

Located just east of Chicago State University, the large multi-phase village is being led by Trinity United Church of Christ, with work already underway.
Details have been revealed for the multi-phase expansion of the Puerto Rican Arts Community Center at 3000 N Elbridge Avenue in Avondale. Located on the corner of Central Park Avenue, the center is operated by the Puerto Rican Arts Alliance (PRAA), which is also leading the expansion efforts recently approved by the City Council.
