Permits Issued For Homan Square Supportive Mixed-Use Development

A new construction permit has been issued for the first phase of a mixed-use development at 3437 W Flournoy Street in Homan Square. Dubbed the Homan Square Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) project, the three-site proposal is being built in multiple phases with the lots centering around S Homan Avenue just south of the highway. Hoping to tackle various housing issues, the locally-led Foundation for Homan Square is envisioning the project with popular design firm JGMA working on the buildings.

Facade Installation Begins at 900 W Randolph Street in Fulton Market District

Facade pieces can now be seen along 900 Randolph Street in West Loop’s Fulton Market District. The 43-story mixed-use tower is being developed by Related Midwest, who has planned an even taller development just one block southeast at 725 W Randolph Street. Given its height of 495 feet, the skyscraper will be the second tallest building west of the Kennedy Expressway.

43Green Phase I Celebrates Topping Off Milestone in Bronzeville

Yesterday Mayor Lori Lightfoot and other city officials commemorated the topping off of a new residential building as part of the first equitable transit-oriented development on Chicago’s South Side. Known as 43Green and located at 4308 S Calumet Avenue, the $100 million mixed-income, mixed-use project, which is being developed in three phases, will bring approximately 300 new apartments to the Bronzeville neighborhood upon completion.
