Caisson Work Continues Full Bore At Bally’s Casino In River West

An army of foundation equipment continues drilling and filling caissons for the new Bally’s Chicago Casino in River West. It has been one month since the permit was issued on March 14 to get started on the site, and Stalworth Underground, whose machinery had been moved into place once demolition of the Chicago Tribune Freedom Center was complete, started caisson efforts immediately.

Bally’s Casino Scores Funding And New Design In River West

Initial financing and updated renderings have been revealed for the upcoming Bally’s permanent Chicago casino at 777 W Chicago Avenue in River West. Sitting just east of the intersection with N Halsted Street, the project will replace the former Chicago Tribune site which received demolition permits recently. The casino has been in the making for a few years and led by Bally’s with a large design team including famed firm HKS Architects.

Rezoning Application Submitted For 330 N Clark Street In River North

A new zoning application has been submitted for the mixed-use development at 330 N Clark Street in River North. Located almost on Chicago river, the new building would rise in the small parking lot at the northeast corner of the existing Reid Murdoch Center. Although it was originally proposed in 2016, the project has received a handful of changes over the years as it has worked towards getting off of the ground. Now developer Friedman Properties is proposing another change to the HKS Architects-designed structure.
