Further Details Revealed For Next Phase Of Lincoln Yards

Further details and initial floor plans have been revealed for the next phase of Lincoln Yards near Goose Island. Building upon the initial information we covered this past December, developer Sterling Bay brought forward another informational presentation to the Chicago Plan Commission as it does not need any further approval. Designed by local firms Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture and Gensler along with Hoerr Schauft and Site Design Group on the landscape team, the project is expected to be completed in 2025.

Plan Commission Approves Rezoning Of Office Development At 1690 N Elston Avenue in West Town

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the renovation and expansion of an office building at 1690 N Elston Avenue in West Town. Located on the corner with W Wabansia Avenue, developer Litton Adventures LLC is hoping to bank on the success of nearby Lincoln Yards as the once industrial area continues to grow. The two-phased expansion is designed by Filoramo Talsma Architecture who also worked on the nearby 1525 N Elston Offices and replaces a vacant lot that once held a one story annex to the existing structure.

ALLY at 1229 W Concord Begins Ascent as Chicago’s 30th Tallest Development

Claiming the 30th spot in Chicago YIMBY’s year-end countdown, Sterling Bay’s ALLY at 1229 W Concord Place is now rising above grade along the North Branch Corridor. The structure will be oriented toward medical research companies, offering 280,000 square feet of Class A medical research lab space and attached conference and creative office space. The 144-foot-tall edifice serves as the first step in the developer’s 55-acre Lincoln Yards masterplan, set to yield nearly 15 million square feet of mixed-use programming at a projected cost of $6 billion.
