The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the industrial development at 328 W 40th Place in Fuller Park. Located just north of W Root Street and a few blocks south of Guaranteed Rate Field, the new structure will replace a handful of old industrial structures many of which have fallen into disrepair and partially collapsed. Now developers The Missner Group LLC are working with local firm Ware Malcomb on its design.
Renovation permits have been issued for the addition of a new floor to an existing greenhouse and support building at 10636 S Woodlawn Avenue in Pullman. The 48,600-square-foot one-story addition will be constructed alongside the existing 100,000-square-foot structure, creating even further capacity for their leafy green production.
Construction has now broken ground on 4300 W Roosevelt Road, one of the Invest South/West RFP winners. Developed by 548 Development and Related Midwest, the North Lawndale site spans 21 acres and is bounded by Roosevelt Road, and Kostner, Kildare, and Fifth Avenues.
Construction permits have been issued for 3307 S Lawndale Avenue, greenlighting a new accessory building to be located within an existing 898,000-square-foot fleet yard owned by MRC Polymers.
A 180,900-square-foot warehouse has been proposed for 328 W 40th Place in Fuller Park, just several blocks south of Guaranteed Rate Field. The project site is being developed by The Missner Group and will replace a currently vacant lot. Designed by Ware Malcomb, the facade will have a colorful facade for an industrial building, with patterns of blue precast concrete wrapping around the rectangular structure. While a tenant has not yet been announced, the interior will be able to accommodate light manufacturing, food packaging, or distribution. As for on-site transportation infrastructure, there will be 35 loading docks and parking for 176 vehicles.
