Construction is imminent at 508 E Pershing Road in Douglas, site of a future four-story mixed-use development. The Community Builders, Inc is developing the property that sits at the intersection of E Pershing Road and S Rhodes Avenue. The nearest CTA bus transit is the Pershing and Rhodes stop, serviced by Route 39 at the corner of the property.

Construction has begun on two residential buildings as part of the larger Southbridge development in the Near South Side near Chinatown. The six-story structures are addressed as 2310 S State Street and 2344 S State Street. The master-planned development will create over 900 affordable housing units to serve the southern side of Chicago, replacing the previous Harold Ickes Homes demolished in 2010. Located on a corner lot at the intersection of W Van Buren Street and W Gladys Avenue, the project will consist of a 21-story mixed-use tower. The nearest public transportation is the 126 CTA bus at the corner of W Van Buren Street and N Aberdeen Street. The nearest CTA L station is the Racine stop, serviced by the Blue Line, a five-minute walk from the site. Tandem Partners, LLC is listed as the developer of the proposal.
