Site Prep Is Underway At 453 West Briar Place In Lake View

Site prep has begun for a new multi-family residential development at 453 West Briar Place in Lake View. The five-story, six-unit condominium project is being built by Chicago’s GVP Development. They got a new construction permit back on May 21 for the property. And now, dirt is being ushed around in anticipation of getting foundation work started, which was permitted separately in November of 2023.

Demolition permit issued for 1313 West Wrightwood Avenue will lead to three new units in Lincoln Park

A demolition permit was issued by the City of Chicago on September 23 for a frame multi-unit residence at 1313 West Wrightwood Avenue in Lincoln Park. According to that permit, Precision Excavation will be the contractor in charge of tearing down the home. In its place, there is a pending permit for the construction of a four-story, three-unit building on the site.

Lincoln Park CVS being demolished for six new condos at 405 West Armitage Avenue

A single-story former CVS store at Lincoln Avenue, Armitage Avenue, and Sedgwick Street in Lincoln Park is being demolished as we speak, with Precision Excavation doing the honors. They received a demolition permit from the City of Chicago on August 22. Barrett Homes will soon begin construction here on a four-story, six-unit condominium development to be addressed as 405 West Armitage Avenue. The new building will replace the lost CVS retail space with two retail spaces: one will have entry at 403 West Armitage, and the other at 1952 North Sedgwick.

3605 North Ravenswood permit issued

Construction is underway for 3605 North Ravenswood in North Center

Construction has begun for the 52-unit 3605 North Ravenswood residential development in North Center. Located on the northeast corner of the intersection connecting Addison Street, Ravenswood Avenue, and Lincoln Avenue, the six-story building is being developed by Macon Construction (also the general contractor) and Stocking Urban. Designs by Hirsch MPG call for the sixth floor to serve as an amenity deck, with the ground floor holding two commercial spaces. There will be 12 off-street parking spaces on the alley off Ravenswood.
