Five residential units have been permitted to replace an 1890s home at 1942 North Orchard Street in Lincoln Park. The previous structure was torn down last fall, with the site marketed as a redevelopment opportunity. After demolition, the double lot sold in January for $4.2 million to Swan Property Development of Orland Park, who will now erect a four-story with basement building here.

A permit has been issued to allow construction of eight townhomes at the former Cenacle Retreat & Conference Center on Fullerton Avenue in Lincoln Park. Addressed as 2329 North Cambridge Avenue, the homes will be built on Lot C, the third subdivision of the plot, located on the west side of the large site. The permit was issued April 2, a little more than five months after the application was filed in October of last year. It comes with a reported construction cost of $4.115 million.

The permit is for 2014 North Bissell Street; it was issued on March 5 after the application was submitted on November 9, 2023. It calls for a three-story with basement, three-unit building with a rooftop deck and rear balconies on all three floors. There will be three parking spaces located in the lower level. Construction costs are estimated at $1.189 million.
