Construction Update At 750 West North Avenue In Lincoln Park

Heavy steel beams for the framework of a residential building have been put in place at 750 West North Avenue in Lincoln Park. The ironwork has been tied into the curved wall for the east facade of the building, and concrete block is underway to start giving form to the structure. Additional masonry work is on view at the west side of the construction site, with brickwork outlining the first floor.

Construction Has Begun On 2600 North Clark In Lincoln Park

Construction is underway for the new residential development at 2600 North Clark Street in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. ENC Construction is working on excavation and shoring for the future five-story, 48-unit building by Initium Development. The project replaces a single-story commercial building on a roughly trapezoidal lot at the northwest corner of Clark and Wrightwood Avenue where Dunlay’s On Clark, Dave’s Records, and other businesses once set up shop.

Permission has been granted by the City of Chicago to construct a three-flat residential building at 2743 North Greenview Avenue on the north edge of the Lincoln Park Community Area. Issued on February 26 after it was added to the Chicago Data Portal just 16 days prior, the permit calls for a three-story plus basement, three-unit structure. It comes through with a reported cost of $1,125,150 for the work associated with the permit.

City Council Approves Plans For Foundry Park

The Chicago City Council has approved plans for Foundry Park, the massive redevelopment of the northern portion of the former Lincoln Yards site. Located on the western edge of Lincoln Park, the approval marks an official end to the previous megadevelopment vision and gives developers JDL and Kayne Anderson the green light to break ground this fall on Phase One.
