Initial details have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 1565 N Clybourn Avenue in Near North Side. Sitting on the northeastern corner of the intersection with N Halsted Street, the proposal was announced in a recent newsletter from second ward alderman Brian Hopkins. The project is being developed by New York-based The Georgetown Company, though an architect is currently unknown.
A ribbon cutting ceremony has been held for the mixed-use redevelopment of the old Covent Hotel at 2653 N Clark Street in Lincoln Park. Sitting on the corner with W Drummond Place, the project is the first phase of a larger development that includes the lot in the rear. The work was led by the NHP Foundation and Drummond Development with local firm Weese Langley Weese Architects working on its design.
A construction permit has been issued for a new residential building at 1018 W Altgeld Street in Lincoln Park. The planned development will be three-story structure housing two residential units, complete with a basement level, a roof deck, rear 1st and 2nd-floor porches, rear three-story stairs, an elevated rear patio, and a rear two-car garage with a roof deck.
Renderings have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 1840 N Marcey Street in Lincoln Park. Located just west of N Clybourn Avenue across the river from Lincoln Yards, the proposal will replace a one-story commercial building bound by railroad tracks to the south. Developer Sterling Bay presented the SCB-designed to local neighbors at a community meeting earlier this week.
A full construction permit has been issued for a new residential building at 438 W St. James Place in Lincoln Park, replacing a two-story stone masonry residence. This development by St. James Interest LLC will stand five stories and house four apartment units.
