The Chicago City Council has approved the residential development at 2821 N Orchard Street in Lake View East. Located just north of the intersection with W Diversey Parkway, the small project will replace an over 100-year-old three-story home slot in between a parking garage and a double-wide three-flat structure. The developer is quite unique in that it is the Estate of Kathy A. Poczatek and is working with local design firm Hanna Architects.

Located east of N Broadway and near Lincoln Park, the new structure will replace two existing multi-story homes built in the early 1900s that together make up a 9,180-square-foot lot. 801 W Belmont Avenue Rises Above Grade in Lakeview East

Foundation work is beginning to rise for a two-story commercial building at 801 W Belmont Avenue in Lakeview East. Developed by Hubbard Street Group, the project is replacing a masonry bank and surface parking lot on the block bound by Belmont Avenue, Clark Street, and Halsted Street. This former bank at 3179 N Clark Street was originally designed by Ivar Viehe-Naess and built in 1921. Demolition was completed in late 2021.
