A renovation project is underway at 3120 N Seminary Avenue in Lake View East. According to the recently issued permit, the project plans to duplex a ground-floor unit with the basement in the existing three-story, multi-unit residence.
Owner John Fairbarik is overseeing the project, which will include the construction of a new common utility room at the rear of the building. Presumably, the construction of this room is a result of changes to the existing utility space as a result of the duplex conversion. Victor Drapszo is responsible for the design of the conversion and new utility room.
Electrical updates are being managed by Tach Mechanical Services, LLC, while Safe at Home Construction will act as the general contractor. General Plumbing & Construction will handle the plumbing work for the project.
The project’s budget is $65,000, permit fees amounted to $695. 3120 N Seminary Avenue is located steps from service for Route 77 bus, and is a six-minute walk to the east from the Belmont CTA station, which services the Brown, Purple, and Red Lines.
