A four-unit residential development is on the way to 2435 West Fargo Avenue in the far north side’s West Ridge neighborhood. An application was filed for a four-story building on March 19th, and it was issued on March 31st, less than two weeks later. That permit indicates a reported construction cost of $750,000.
Details have been revealed for a new residential development at 1948 W Peterson Avenue in West Ridge. Sitting on the corner with N Winchester Avenue and across the street from Rosehill Cemetery, the project will replace a long-vacant lot occasionally used for parking and storage. Efforts are being led by local developer Bob Loquercio.
A permit was issued by the City of Chicago allowing for the construction of a three-story plus basement, four-unit building at 6416 North Francisco Avenue in West Ridge. Developer Amazing City LLC of Lake Zurich got the permit on March 24 after filing the application on May 22, 2024. They are listed as their own general contractor, at a reported cost of $1.538 million.
A demolition permit has been issued for the Dunkin at 6254 North Western Avenue in West Ridge. That permit will allow construction to begin for a new restaurant that was permitted back in October of last year.
Facilities for a new Lubavitch Girls High School are under construction at Devon Avenue and North Whipple Street in West Ridge. Students had been attending classes in schoolrooms attached to the Congregation Bnei Ruven at 6350 North Whipple; the new two-story masonry building will update and modernize the educational experience.
