Westhaven Park IID adds four-story portion to topped-out tower

The four-story portion of the Westhaven Park IID project on the south end of the construction site has reached its final height on the Near West Side. We showed you the topped-out 12-story tower back in February; now, both portions are at final height and have been enclosed with windows. This development replaces an empty grass lot bounded by Maypole Avenue, Damen Avenue, and Lake Street. Its construction is running concurrent with the CTA Damen Green Line station across the street.

Construction has reached its full height for Westhaven Park IID, located at 1959 W Lake Street in the Near West Side. Situated at the corner of N Damen Avenue and W Lake Street, this mixed-use building is adjacent to the upcoming CTA Damen Green Line station. The project is a joint venture involving Brinshore Development, The Michaels Organization, and the Chicago Housing Authority, with architectural design by LBBA Architects.

Facade work is advancing toward completion at The Foglia Residences at Chicago Lighthouse, a nine-story mixed-use development located at 1134 S Wood Street in the Illinois Medical District. Replacing a former parking lot, the development is a collaboration between Brinshore Development and The Chicago Lighthouse, an organization focused on providing affordable housing primarily for the visually impaired and veterans.

The Foglia Residences Claim 27th Place In Year-End Countdown

Claiming the 27th spot on our year-end countdown are The Foglia Residences at 1134 S Wood Street in the Illinois Medical District. Sitting on the northwestern corner with W Roosevelt Road, the project was announced in 2021 and broke ground last year. The building replaces a parking lot owned by The Chicago Lighthouse who partnered with Brinshore Development on the LBBA Architects-designed structure.
