As facade work enters its final leg, glass installation is now underway for the University of Illinois’ new medical building in the Illinois Medical District. Known as the UI Health Outpatient Surgery Center & Specialty Clinics, the six-story facility will offer more than 200,000 square feet of programming.
Facade work is now in full swing for the University of Illinois’ Outpatient Surgery Center & Specialty Clinics, a six-story addition to UI Health‘s hospital campus in the Illinois Medical District.
Work has reached full height at 508 E Pershing Road, a four-story mixed-use building that recently topped out in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood. Planned by The Community Builders Inc, the development will house 3,500 square feet of ground-floor retail with 53 residential units on the upper floors. Under the Chicago Housing Authority, 36 of these units will be affordable, with the remaining 17 residences as market rate.
