A permit for new construction has been issued for an apartment building located at 5822 South Wabash Avenue in Washington Park. The permit, issued on May 30, allows for the erection of a building which will consist of three dwelling units, a detached garage with two parking spaces, and one open parking space.

The approved permit allows for the construction of a four-story building with six residential units and ground-floor retail. The new development, owned by Jacek Bohaschuk, will replace a vacant lot.
