YIMBY has the latest details and renderings for a four-story residential building at 3745 S Lake Park Avenue in the Oakland neighborhood. Construction permits were issued earlier this month, on the condition of passing field inspections.
The site sits at the intersection of South Lake Park Avenue and W 38th Street, a ten-minute walk from the lakefront trail. Bus transit for route 4 is accessible via six-minute walk southwest to the Cottage Grove & 38th Street stop. The closest CTA L station is the Sox-35th station on the Red Line, which is a 30-minute walk west. Additional points of interest include Burnham Park, which is a 10-minute walk east, and 31st Street Harbor and Beach, which is a 23-minute walk northeast.
Plans by developer John Gruszka comprise four units across the four floors, as well as a basement and a freestanding garage with a roof deck on top.
Alexander Polichuk of AP Architects LLC is the architect of record. Polichuk’s design integrates a traditional-style brick exterior, with a gabled front facade that includes terrace space on the first and fourth floors. A stone exterior along the base will also demarcate the top portion of the basement extending above ground.
Grus Construction is the general contractor for the $500,000 project. A completion date has not yet been indicated.
