Partial funding has been fully approved for the affordable housing development at 1237 N California Avenue in West Town. Sitting on the intersection with W Crystal Street, the project will replace a vacant lot. Efforts for the development are being led by the Hispanic Housing Development Corporation with local firm DesignBridge working on its design.
Demolition is complete for Lake View Lutheran Church at 835 W Addison Street in Lake View. Now, attention turns to Lakeview Landing, as the crew from Powers & Sons Construction begins work on the residential development’s foundation.
Renderings have been revealed for the first phase of the Legends South development at 4520 S State Street in Grand Boulevard. Located between W 45th Street and W 46th Street, TIF funding was just approved by the Community Development Commission this week. Leading the efforts are co-developers The Michaels Organization and Brinshore Development.
Lake View Lutheran Church, at 835 W Addison Street in the Lake View neighborhood, received a demolition permit from the City of Chicago on May 31. That allows for the development of a 37-unit affordable apartment building, dubbed Lakeview Landing, to be built on the site.
