Plan Commission Approves Office Development At 640 W Randolph Street In West Loop Gate

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the mixed-use development at 640 W Randolph Street in West Loop Gate. Located on the northwest corner of the intersection with N Des Plaines Street, the slim proposal will be replacing a surface parking lot and joining a row of brick-clad commercial buildings near the highway. The team of Vista Property Group and designers Antunovich Associates is back after working on 741 N Wells and 609 W Randolph nearby, utilizing a similar design language.

Construction Nears Full Height for 741 N Wells Street in River North

With its loft-window-style curtain wall continuing to take shape, construction has now passed the 20th floor for 741 N Wells Street, a 21-story mixed-use development in River North. The 201,000-square-foot Vista Property project will be composed of 168 residential units above several retail stores; all while integrating with the two-story masonry building to its north.

Facade Installation Begins for 741 N Wells Street in River North

Dark glass can now be seen along the rising 741 N Wells Street, a 21-story mixed-use development in River North. Vista Property’s 201,000-square-foot project will house 168 apartments above ground-level retail establishments, all while respecting the historical two-story masonry building situated north of it.

741 N Wells Street Claims 19th Spot In Year-End Countdown

Coming in at the 17th spot in this year’s countdown is the mixed-use development at 741 N Wells Street in River North. Located just south of the intersection with W Chicago Avenue, the project replaces a one-story commercial building that previously held a furniture store and was demolished to make way for the quickly growing Wells Street canyon. Developer Vista Property Group, who recently proposed 640 W Randolph Street in West Loop Gate, used the same team from Antunovich Associates on this design as well.

15-Story Mixed-Use Tower Proposed for 640 W Randolph in West Loop Gate

Plans have been unveiled for a new 15-story mixed-use tower at 640 W Randolph Street in West Loop Gate. Vista Property Group intends to replace a surface parking lot with the new 225-foot-tall structure at the intersection of Randolph and Desplaines. There will be a total of 117,000 square feet of office space atop 2,500 square feet of ground-level commercial space.

In a week of similar milestones, construction has gone vertical for 741 N Wells Street, a 21-story mixed-use development in River North. The 201,000-square-foot development by Vista Property will yield a total of 168 apartment units atop a ground-level retail component. The project will also preserve a two-story masonry building situated directly to the north.

Yesterday, developer VISTA Property Group and its general contractor, Skender, broke ground on a new mixed-use high rise at 741 N Wells Street in River North. The 21-story, 201,000-square-foot development will yield a total of 168 apartment units. Located prominently at the corner of Chicago Avenue and Wells Street, 741 N Wells is one of the latest developments adding to the neighborhood’s recent uptick in construction.

Demolition Begins for 741 N Wells Street in River North

Following up on last month’s demolition permit article, partial site clearing has begun for a 21-story mixed-use tower at 741 N Wells Street in River North. Planned by Vista Property Group, the development will integrate with a historic three-story brick building at its northwest corner bordering the intersection of W Chicago Avenue and N Wells Street.

A tower crane permit has now been issued for a mixed-use development at 741 N Wells Street in River North. Developer Vista Property Group has planned for a 21-story to rise atop a historic three-story masonry building just south of the Chicago & Wells intersection. Programming will provide 9,400 square feet of retail and 178 apartment units.

609 W Randolph Street Completes Construction in West Loop Gate

Exterior construction has reached completion for the 15-story high rise at 609 W Randolph Street in West Loop Gate. This mixed-use development by Vista Property Group consists of the aforementioned tower and a four-story 19th century brick building directly to the east.
