Window Installation Begins for Health and Wellness Center at 2933 W Division Street in Humboldt Park

In Humboldt Park, at 2933 W Division Street, progress continues on the construction of a new health and wellness center, as window installation has commenced. The architectural firm JGMA has partnered with Humboldt Park Health on this $24 million project. Standing three stories tall and reaching a height of 62 feet, the 45,500-square-foot building will showcase a curved design featuring a pearlescent green and blue facade, complemented by glass curtain wall cut-outs.

Located west of the triple intersection of N Damen Avenue, N Clybourn Avenue, and W Diversey Parkway, this extensive development has been in progress for several years under the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA), in collaboration with Related Midwest and Bickerdike Redevelopment Corp.

Additional Funding Announced For Rooted And Rising In Back of the Yards

Partial funding has been announced for the mixed-use development at 4630 S Ashland Avenue in Back of the Yards. Located on the intersection with W 47th Street and S McDowell Avenue, the project will replace a group of multi-story structures behind a single facade. Dubbed ‘Rooted and Rising’, the proposal is being led by the Back of the Yards Neighborhood Council and Park Row Development.

Groundbreaking Held For Community Center In Brighton Park

A groundbreaking has been held for a new community center at 4000 S Archer Avenue in Brighton Park. Located just east of the intersection with S California Avenue, the center will replace a vacant lot near Kelly Edward Park. The center will serve as the new headquarters for the Brighton Park Neighborhood Network (BPNN), who is also building the facility which was designed by local architecture firm JGMA.
