Details have been revealed for a small expansion to Thalia Hall at 1811 S Allport Street in Pilsen. The project comes amidst some changes to the venue’s dining destinations as it sees consistent acts on its stage. Now its owners, local entertainment company 16 on Center (16OC), look to fill in a vacant lot south of the historic building.

New construction permits have been issued for a four-story, multi-unit residential building located at 1533 W Fry Street in West Town. RED Architects is behind the design, while K2 Studio is the architect of record. Plans indicate six units with front- and rear-covered open decks on the first floor, covered open front decks on the third floor, an open rear rooftop deck, and a four-story open egress stairwell. Plans also include a detached six-vehicle garage and two off-street parking spaces with electric charging stations.

Updated plans have been approved for the mixed-use redevelopment at 2618 N Milwaukee Avenue in Logan Square. Located on the six-corner intersection of the neighborhood, across the street from the CTA Blue Line station and Centennial Monument, the existing structure has gone through various owners with failed plans as well. Now Blue Star Properties and Marc Realty have come back with a new revised plan for the former Grace Furniture building which is being designed by local architecture firm K2 Studio.
