Foundation Piles Permitted For Bathhouse At Madison And Morgan In The West Loop

A new construction permit was issued Friday, January 24, to allow for driving foundation piles that will support a three-story bathhouse at Madison and Morgan Streets in the West Loop. Fulton St. Companies is building the facility for Bathhouse, a Brooklyn, NY company, to occupy. The building replaces a surface parking lot, which earlier this decade was to be replaced by a 10-story condominium development, also under Fulton St.’s leadership.

Plan Commission Approves Free To BE Village In Uptown

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the latest plans for ‘The Free To BE Village’ at 4427 N Clark Street in Uptown. Originally pitched over a year ago, the project will rise on the corner with W Sunnyside Avenue and replace a vacant lot, parking lot, and one-story commercial building.

1717 Michigan construction name update

Glass Is Up, Tower Crane Is Down, And 1717 Michigan Has An Official Name

The first few levels of exterior glass have been installed on 1717 Michigan, the South Loop residential building from CMK Companies formerly known as 1723 South Michigan. The construction site is also notable for what it doesn’t have: a tower crane. That’s been taken down now that the building is topped out. The construction hoist at the south end of the structure will do the rest of the heavy lifting from here on out.
