The 28-story mixed-use development at 225 N Elizabeth Street in the Fulton Market District has started its construction phase with foundation work underway. The project has taken the 11th place in the 2022 year-end countdown and is located at the corner of W Fulton Street. The construction has now been cleared to rise over its low-height industrial neighbors.
Construction is nearing full height for 160 N Morgan Street, a 30-story mixed-use tower in Fulton Market District. Set to stand 350 feet in height, the new high rise by Sterling Bay and Ascentris will yield a total of 282 for-rent apartments atop two levels of retail.
Full construction permits have been granted for the mixed-use development at 225 N Elizabeth Street in the Fulton Market District. Developer Sterling Bay, who is also busy building up Lincoln Yards, and Colorado-based Ascentris are working with local architecture firm Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture on its design.
Quickly rising into the 8th place of this year’s countdown is the mixed-use tower at 160 N Morgan Street in the West Loop. Located just north of famed W Randolph Street in the growing neighborhood, the project recently had its first pieces of facade installed as it grows next to neighborhood stalwart Federales who just announced a Logan Square outpost. Developer Sterling Bay partnered with the Colorado-based equity firm Ascentris, both of which are also working on the 11th place of the countdown 225 N Elizabeth nearby, with bKL Architecture leading the design.
Foundation work is ready to give way to vertical construction for the mixed-use development at 225 N Elizabeth Street in Fulton Market District, where many of this year’s entries are. Located on the southeast corner with W Fulton Street, foundation work is currently well underway for the structure after it completed the removal of the previous empty surface lot on the site. Developers Sterling Bay and Colorado-based Ascentris have been leading the charge on the Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture-designed-structure.
