Currently, the site is occupied by a single-story masonry building and a parking lot.

Fortech, Inc is the filing owner, whose plans include 12 total units, along with first-floor retail and a 12-vehicle garage topped with a rooftop deck. The property was formerly occupied by a one-floor masonry commercial building.
New construction permits were issued this past week for a new two-story residential building located at 2138 N Sawyer Avenue in the Logan Square neighborhood. The permit’s owner has been listed as Boris Dukach, and it’s been indicated that the build will house two units and will feature a roof deck. There will also be a detached garage with its own roof deck. This is a sister build from the same team that was issued a permit for 2140 N Sawyer Avenue last month.
