Updated Plans Revealed For Mixed-Use Development Near Lincoln Yards

Updated plans have been revealed for the mixed-use development at 2033 N Kingsbury Avenue in Lincoln Park. Located near the intersection with N Clybourn Avenue and fronting the northern end of the Lincoln Yards megadevelopment, plans for the project were originally revealed last year and have received a substantial redesign. Also being led by Sterling Bay, the team behind Lincoln Yards brought in local firm Pappageorge Haymes to work on its design which will help kickstart some large changes in the area.

Ceiling Art Spotted at The Dylan in Fulton Market

Ceiling mural artwork designed by Emmy Star Brown (@emmystarbrown) has been spotted along the underside of The Dylan, a 30-story mixed-use tower at 160 N Morgan Street in Fulton Market. The project, a collaboration between Sterling Bay and Ascentris, topped out at its 350-foot height earlier this year. The plan is for 282 rental apartments above a 2,657 square-foot retail space.

225 N Elizabeth Approaches Final Height in Fulton Market

Work on Fulton Market‘s 225 N Elizabeth Street is now nearing its pinnacle, as both structural and facade work continues to advance for the 28-story mixed-use Fulton Market project. Taking shape on what was formerly a parking lot at the intersection of Fulton and Elizabeth Streets, this project is a collaborative effort between Sterling Bay and Ascentris.

Parapet Underway at Fulton Market’s 360 N Green Street

Work on the parapet for the 24-story, 360 N Green Street mixed-use building in Fulton Market is now making headway. The developer, Sterling Bay, is developing the 399-foot-tall tower to accommodate office spaces, 5,400 square feet for retail, and tenant amenities within its 500,000 square feet of space.

Plan Commission Approves 1300 W Carroll In West Loop

The Chicago Plan Commission has approved the latest plans for the mixed-use development at 1300 W Carroll Avenue in the West Loop. Located on the corner with N Elizabeth Street and replacing the former site of the ADM Wheat Mill Silos, the multi-phase project was recently revised and presented at a public meeting this past February with changes to the overall design and plan. Now Sterling Bay has received its first approval for the SOM-designed structure which was first proposed in 2021.

225 N Elizabeth Street Passes 2/3 Milestone in Fulton Market

Now at the 20th floor mark, 225 N Elizabeth Street is steadily approaching its final height of 28 stories in the Fulton Market District. This mixed-use project is already making a significant impact on the cityscape as one of the pioneering new towers in the area. This past week, YIMBY captured the the tower crane disassembly at 160 N Morgan Street, a 30-story mixed-use tower nearing completion in Fulton Market District. This joint venture between Sterling Bay and Ascentris now stands its full 350 feet in height and is set to feature 282 rental apartments situated above 2,657 square feet of retail space.

The Lincoln Yards mega-development is set to enter its next phase as two of its riverfront parcels, D2 and D3, are scheduled to break ground next month. Following the completion of the life sciences ofice building at 1229 W Concord early this year, developer Sterling Bay has reevaluated the phasing plan for the Hartshorne Plunkard Architecture and Gensler-designed project, likely due to shifts in the economy. This adjustment prioritizes the development of mixed-use structures at the D2 and D3 parcels, located just north of 1229 W Concord.
