Three-Story Commercial Building Coming to 1100 W Randolph Street in West Loop

A full construction permit has been issued for a new three-story mixed-use commercial building at 1100 W Randolph Street in Fulton Market District. L3 Capital has planned to deliver 30,000 square feet of new retail and office space, whose containing parcel stretches along Randolph Street in parallel with 160 N Aberdeen Street which is now under construction. L3 acquired this parcel in 2018, previously occupied by a masonry private family office building. As per the developer’s website, all three floors of the future structure are still available for lease, with planned retail on the first and second levels and office space on the third level.

1371 W Randolph Street Receives Facade Treatment in West Loop

With all structural work complete and much of the facade now in place, the seven-story parking and retail structure at 1371 W Randolph Street is now approaching completion. Rising 85 feet, this West Loop project is the latest addition to the Chicago Journeyman Plumbers Local 130 UA Campus, developed in partnership between the union and Chicago Title & Trust Company.

932 W Randolph Street Redevelopment Crosses Finish Line in West Loop

This week, YIMBY stopped by the commercial redevelopment of 932 W Randolph Street in West Loop. With exterior work now complete, interior construction can be seen progressing as this three-story former bank prepares for tenant occupancy. Developer L3 Capital has converted the former bank into a new retail and office venue, reskinning its outer walls and gutting the interior, while also adding a new segment at the northern end of the property. Last year, plans were revealed for the retail component to be occupied by a showroom for the electric carmaker Rivian.

Structural work can be seen rising at West Loop‘s 1371 W Randolph Street, where the Plumbers Local Union 130 and the Chicago Title & Trust Company have planned a new parking and retail structure. The new seven-story development will encompass the latest addition to the union’s campus, which is bound by Randolph and Ada Streets, and Washington Boulevard. The development involves the re-skin of the existing structure, and a new three-level connected addition that will take on the same design. L3 Capital is the developer behind the 35,000-square-foot project, whose programming will be entirely commercial. Recent reports have confirmed that a new showroom for the electric carmaker Rivian will occupy the building. Last year, L3 Capital received approval to convert the existing zoning designation of the property from C1-2 neighborhood commercial district to DX-5 mixed-use district.
