Permits were issued on Friday for the construction of a new three-story multi-unit building in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The owner is listed as 2051 N Racine LLC, and the current plans indicate this project will yield a total of three dwelling units. The second- and third-floor units will feature front balconies as well as private decks at the rear. The build with also have a roof deck and pergolas; and a detached three-vehicle garage with its own rooftop deck. The development will replace an existing structure.

Adler on the Park in Lincoln Park Prepares for Public

A novel opportunity is coming to Chicago residents this Sunday. A Lincoln Park mansion, known as Adler on Park, located at 2700 N Lakeview Avenue. The construction was designed by famed Chicago architects David Adler and Henry Dangler more than a century ago for Titanic survivor Emily Ryerson.

A new construction permit was issued yesterday for a three-story residential building at 1508 W Wrightwood Avenue in the Lincoln Park neighborhood. The owner is listed as 1508 Wrightwood LLC, and current plans indicate this project will yield a total of three dwelling units. All units will feature front balconies as well as private decks at the rear. This building will also have a roof deck, pergolas, and a detached three-vehicle garage with its own rooftop deck. The development will replace a previous structure, the demolition of which YIMBY reported on in November 2021.

2215 N Halsted Street Reaches Third Floor in Lincoln Park

Construction has reached the third floor for a four-story condominium building at 2215 N Halsted Street in Lincoln Park. Prior to construction, the project site was occupied by a two-story brick building. Developed by 2215 Halsted Glascott FLP, the nearly completed replacement will include eight total residences, along with parking for 12 vehicles. Four of the spaces are to be housed within a detached garage, while the remaining spots will be located in an underground garage.

Demolition Wraps Up for 2419 N Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park

Last week, YIMBY covered the newly revealed plans for a five-story mixed-use building in Lincoln Park. The triangular parcel is located at 2419 N Lincoln Avenue, situated prominently at the three-way intersection of Lincoln Avenue, Halsted Street, and Fullerton Parkway. Structural work has topped out for a six-story addition to the Edith Spurlock Apartments complex in Lincoln Park. The new building at 2700 N Sheffield Avenue will sit between the two existing apartment buildings, which are also undergoing their own renovations as part of the project scope. The addition is been co-developed by the Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) and Pirhl.

Initial Details Revealed For Mixed-Use Development At 2419 N Lincoln Avenue In Lincoln Park

Initial details have been revealed for a mixed-use development at 2419 N Lincoln Avenue in Lincoln Park. Located on the six-way intersection with N Halsted Street and W Fullerton Parkway, the new structure will replace a small privately-owned Julia Porter Park that was open to the public. The project comes from developer Mike Breheny who is working with local architects Studio Dwell on the masonry-clad building.

XO Marshmallow Café Finds New Home at 2730 North Clark Street in Lincoln Park

A popular Rogers Park business is on the move. XO’s Marshmallow Cafe first opened its doors at 6977 N Sheridan Road in 2017 where it has successfully operated as a fun and quirky place for locals to shop all things marshmallows. According to their site, the establishment was the “World’s First Marshmallow Café,” and the café has cultivated and kept its following by serving up homemade s’mores, gourmet hot chocolate, and other beverages topped off with marshmallow fluff.

Initial Details Revealed For Redevelopment Of 513 W Fullerton Avenue In Lincoln Park

Initial details have been revealed for the redevelopment of the Cenacle Retreat and Conference Center at 513 W Fullerton Avenue in Lincoln Park. The plans which will be discussed at an upcoming community meeting depict the potential future of the multi-lot site occupied by the 1967-built masonry-clad structures. Developer Henry Street Partners LLC has tapped local design firm Wheeler Kearns Architects for the subdivision master planning and design of the one multi-unit structure.
